Recently, I started scanning old slides and black and white photo negatives, with mixed results. I am using (from DX camera) a 60mm macro at 1:1, BR-5 mount ring, 21mm extension tube from Gadget Place, and Nikon ES-1 slide copying adapter. The tube in this arrangement accommodates the extra distance needed with the crop sensor to get to 1:1. I am now experimenting with the Z7 for higher resolution copies--we will see.
